As far back as i can remember about 23 years ago when i was 13/14 i started listening to the oldskool/Happyhardcore tunage , as a few years went by , i started havin the love for the HappyHardcore vibe and since then i wanted to get myself my 1st set of decks , but... never kind of happened . From all the tunes that was made and played , some of them top DJ'S inspired me such as DJ SY , DOUGAL , RAMOS , SLIPMAT , RATTPACK , FORCE AND STYLES , VIBES AND LIVELEE and so on and so on , to many super stars to mention . as the years went by , i got older obviously but kinda leavin the scene coz of work , kids etc . Eventually i started gettin back into the scene as i couldnt leave the sounds of the hardcore , It felt like it was apart of my life , but now it is , PROPER !!!! over the years again , i was gettin older and started to think more about getting my 1st set of decks . So as from April 2009 , i got my 1st set of Gemini DD's and borrowed a few vinyl from a mate of mine (Tony Merlin) and started havin a mess about , Didnt think anymore of it , just wanted the fun and the buzz of wanting to be a dj wanna be lol . after 6months of my 1st ever purchase of my decks , i recorded my 1st mix in october 09 . and that gave me over 80 downloads in 2 weeks lol . i didnt think it was bad myself for a virgin in the mixin scene . In febuary 2010 , i dropped on my 1st radio show and got a slot onhttp://www.the-underground.co.uk/ , then i got a slot on Narcoticradio , then Diehard radio , A sunday player on kraftyradio , slot onwww.Dancetransmission.com , http://www.x-treme-energy.co.uk/ .loads to mention but no room ... Over the months of 2010 , i kinda got better in mixin but with loadsa clangs here n there etc lol , i was actually asked by x-treme-energy-events if i could play a set for them at the plug in brum on 25th Sept 2010 , of course i took the chance even though i never thought id be out there mixin the tunage , another bookin from x-treme was in line aswell , then another , all within a few months , and appreciation is goin out to those who has supported me over the years . loads of bookings in since 2010 , with radios and events . respect to you all and many thanks for giving me that chance .I only started mixin for the laugh but its took me further than what i expected , in such a short time .. hope things work out for me lol ;) .. RESPECT TO YOU ALL XX P.L.U.R XX

Hi, I'm Dave, from Coventry, and i started djing way back in 1990, while still at school, inspired by legends Sasha and Carl Cox after listening to sets, given to me from older friends! I spent a lot of my time during the early 90's at the legendary club Eclipse, in Coventry, where i met lots of fantastic people including some of the finest DJ's around at the time, doing a couple of sets in Marco Polo, Birmingham. I also ventured across the midlands, clubbing wise, to places including Shelley's, Institute and Coast 2 Coast. After 5 years, i fell out of love with the scene, seeing as it was changing and not to my liking, to be honest and in 1995 i gave up raving and djing. Kept my vinyl, though, just in case!! Got back into it in 2006 after listening to online radio playing a lot of oldskool, and thought I'd give it another go. Not had the confidence to play out again, since but you never know..... Favourite DJ's. Carl Cox, Sasha, Ellis Dee, Stu Allan, Ratty, Tango, Ray Keith, Mark Archer. Clubs. Eclipse, Shelley's, Institute, Coast 2 Coast

full of sume old some new Jonny T (aka Cypresschill) was born in Rugeley in the UK in 1974 At the age of 12, Jonny gravitated to the DJs of the time, and was amazed as they mixed and blended the music into a seamless continuity of harmonics. He knew that a set of turntables was needed if he was to pursue his interest. He witnessed the progression of styles and influences over a number of years, going back to old skool house music of the 80s His own vinyl soon accumulated into a collection, and was sourced from many UK records shops, such artists included: Tommy Musto, Frankie Bones, Beastie Boys and early Hip Hop. The underground dance music scene has always been an area of interest and fascination to JT since, and over a period of time the mixing became second nature to him. Keen to rise up the ranks and build a name for himself, he made the break from bedroom DJ to DJing in the local clubs of the time, the pinnacle being a DJ set at the legendary Quest in Wolverhampton. “I am keen not to associated with a specific genre of music, I like to read the crowd and keep my sets dynamic, to have a eclectic music collection is the key. I have progressed with the underground scene over a number of years from old skool happy hardcore ’91-’94 thru to my current passion that is Liquid Drum and Bass. My fan base really appreciate the soulful vocals” JT You can now listen to Jonny T on a regular basis, as he holds a number of weekly slots on the Internet radio scene. Such stations include: www.bassjunkees.com & www.dnbheaven.com Jonny reflects on his goals of today: “Life is a little more complex these days trying to balance the work/family and music. Although I have recently started a night called “Resolution” at the Glasshouse In Stourbridge. It is a partnership between JT Promotions and K3 MC. Our ambition is to grow the promotion into a regular monthly event, aimed at the over 25s as they seem to have more appreciation for the liquid style, though everyone of course is welcome! I have never lost the momentum and ambition to pursue my goal of involving my son with the scene, to continue the love for the music and be the best that I can be” JT to many to say but my dad

; ; ; I started out in late1989 attending some of the now infamous 'Summer of Love' raves such as Energy and Biology. I then carried on moving with the times and progressed to the Hardcore events which exploded onto the scene in early 1990. <o:p></o:p> These included some of the best parties ever to be staged like Raindance (Jenkins Lane), Amnesia, Fantazia and Perception. <o:p></o:p> It was around this time I started to regularly attend the now legendary 'Eclipse', staged monthly at the Cambridge Corn Exchange. It soon became a way of life and quickly built up a huge reputation as one of the best with it's own army of die hard ravers. All the top DJ's were there, alongside a core of local residents which included original warehouse technicians Pauly C, Doug Osbourne, DJ Lez, Chris Brown, Jo Jo Rock, Unity, Lee Coombs and organiser Stuart Banks - who alongside brother David made it all work. Eclipse ran for over three years between May 1990 and June 1993 and paved the way for the Cambridge/East Anglia scene. <o:p></o:p> When the scene started to split, with Hardcore going one way and Drum 'n' Bass going the other, I began to go to some of 'new' events appearing such as ESP Dreamscape, Helter Skelter, Temptation and in 1995 Stevenage's United Dance. <o:p></o:p> As the scene continued to progress, the music started to change with Happy Hardcore becoming faster and harder (Techno-like) and Jungle/Drum 'n' Bass darker (Moody-like) I felt it was time to move on. <o:p></o:p> Then finally after World Dance NYE 1995 held at the Docklands and falling in love with 'Ken Doh's Nakasaki EP' I got into the House and Garage scene where I found the music at a tempo I enjoyed with an 'old skool' feel. <o:p></o:p> Superclubs were now the place to be as I went to Miss Moneypennys, Sheffield's Gatecrasher and Progress. Closer to home it was regular haunts such as Club UK and Kink (Ipswich), The Whitehouse in Newmarket and Milky Lunch at the Norwich University. <o:p></o:p> More recently I can be found at the smaller local clubs and bars in town, but still searching for the right vibe in order to have a good night. So when it comes to the dance scene and clublife there ain't nothin I ain't seen...!!! Peace

DJ TONY D : OVER 200 MIXES FREE FOR DOWNLOAD www.djtonyd.weebly.com/ Loads of other free mixes on housemixes.com www.house-mixes.com/profile/tony-d Friend me on Facebook for notification posts for when new mixes are up www.facebook.com/home.php#!/profi…php?id=681573913 . Started mixing in the late 80's,with house music like orbital,klf,8o8 state etc and the chicargo/detroit scene that was big around that time and moved right through into the beginning of Belgium techno and hardcore scene and into Jungle/ D&B from 92 onwards aswel. Would mix most styles of dance music from house to progressive, garage and big beat etc. If it had a beat and I had enough tunes for a mix id mix it. Loving the Hardcore Breaks / Nu skool Breaks scene at the moment, thats keeping the old skool scene going.I've never prepped or worked out a mix ever, just cue the first two and of i go with just the tunes laid out in front of me.This way i feel the music and vibe more and its where i get my kick, mixing the way it should be done. Will only upload a mix im sure makes the grade. I love doing mixes of megamixes too and upload them every couple of weeks or so.
